St. Rose Cemetery
St. Rose Cemetery is located on Dutch Lane, Hermitage, PA and is comprised of 22.38 acres with a landscape of trees and shrubbery.

On-site is St. Rose Chapel, which is available to host calling hours, Catholic Masses, funeral services and committal services.

History at a Glance
-St. Rose Cemetery-

St. Rose Cemetery was established along with St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Dutch Lane in Hickory Township (now Hermitage), PA in 1860. Its grounds surrounded the church.
Around 1900, St. Rose of Lima moved its congregation to Sharon and built a new church named St. Joseph Church. The cemetery grounds remained at Dutch Lane under the name of St. Rose Cemetery. From 1969-1970, Fr. James Weber, pastor of St. Joseph Church organized the St. Rose Cemetery Association.
In 1979, Bishop Michael Murphy, Bishop of Erie dedicated a new chapel at St. Rose Cemetery and in 1989, Bishop Murphy dedicated
the new St. Rose Mausoleum
housing 926 crypts and niches.

St. Rose Cemetery offers traditional graveside or mausoleum burials. A mausoleum is a building or structure for the above ground burial of both caskets and cremation urns. A mausoleum may be the final resting place for one individual, a family, or a community.
